To date, LUKKID and ALA have assisted over 50 Thai and international organizations in designing in-house training and co-creation programs. Revenue from LUKKID, the for-profit entity, is leveraged to support non-profit initiatives under ALA.

May’s early career was in the financial sector. She was a researcher at the Wharton Snider Entrepreneurship Center at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and was an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse (Singapore) and equity research analyst at JP Morgan (Hong Kong).

May was a Pre-University ASEAN scholar under the Singapore’s Ministry of Education. She received Bachelor of Sciences in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania (2009) and Master of Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business (2013). She has been certified as executive coach by Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute and UC Berkeley. She was also a d.leader at the Institute of Design at Stanford (Stanford d. school).

Topic: Innovation in Thai Insurance industry

Changes and trends in technology and consumers’ behavior will drive Banking and Insurance industry face with the disruption. They learn that competitors are not only from their industry, but also from outsiders which is technology companies. In this digital age, FinTech and InsureTech are creating both products and service innovation to serve their consumers. Even though both are in the same sector and have the same consumers, diffusion in insurance seems lag behind compare to banking industry. Why and how can the insurance industry cross the chasm? 

In 2013, he founded Asia’s first integrated bachelor’s and master’s in design management and since 2014 he has been the Director of Design, Business, and Technology Program. Asan specializes in ecological approaches to planning and design, innovative design, and sustainability.

Topic: Re-design Design Education: An Introduction to the Design, Business & Technology Management Program

The Design, Business & Technology Management Program (DBTM) is a joint effort of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning and Thammasat Business School, Thammasat University. The curriculum lies within a design management field that bridges the disciplines of design, business, and technology and focuses on the integration of design in all levels of strategy, planning, and management. The program emphasizes the importance of design as a core factor for innovation and sustainability that can affect our future.

The intent of the program is to teach students not only to create innovative products, environments, and services, but also to help organizations develop new strategies. Our goal is to nurture a new generation of professional pioneers who have the vision and the skills needed to respond to the challenges of our increasingly complex global world.

In 2005 attended intensive mandarin class in Beijing language and culture university and Peking university. Work at Benchachinda and started working at Rakbankerd in 2012. During 2013 to 2015 attended and graduated Executive MBA from Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University, an AACSB and EQUIS accredited business school.

As entrepreneur–in-residence at Belkin Labs, Terri was instrumental in creating the protocols that enabled rural children in India to charge their laptops without danger of electrocution.

Recently, in her role as Executive Design Director at one of the largest education publishers in the world, she used lean design thinking methodology to transition the company from print to electronic publishing and the new media landscape.

When Terri is not transitioning companies she engages with her dogs, horses and elephants in the outdoors or can be found reading a good book.

DesigningImpacts believes solutions come from a range of business, social impact, and design thinking approach to solve today's complex problems.

The lecture will be about our current project, that we redesign of Sappraiwan Elephant Resort with the intent of creating a sustainable business that profits both the resort, the surrounding village community and Asian elephants. This is what we call a ‘ Responsible Company’ and an example of the types of projects we work on.

a result of the Asian financial crisis, to launching the company on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, with the market capitalization of USD1.2 billion, the largest listed sugar company in Thailand.

Pla holds a Master Degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business and was a design leader student at Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (the Stanford d.school) where she led and facilitated the design thinking workshops for students and public.

She is passionate about blending her business acumen with creative thinking to create innovation. She believes and acts on the statement:“Change Lives, Change Organizations, Change the world”.

When Pla is not changing the world, she continues to lead Design Thinking workshop and works with nonprofits focused on environmental issues and local communities.

She served as Associate Dean in the Faculty of Engineering where she spearheaded the smart engineering library, developed innovation community, and quality assurance system at the faculty which was recognized and received TQM Best practices award. She was a co-founder of the Technopreneurship and Innovation Management Program (TIP), which plays a vital role in enhancing cross-disciplinary research and education at postgraduate level. She obtained her PhD in Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management from the University of Nottingham, UK. She holds M.Sc. from Linköping Institute of Technology, Sweden and B.Eng (Hon) from Chulalongkorn University. She also certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and ISO9001 auditor. She has published extensively in leading international refereed journals on quality engineering, technology and innovation management. Her research works have won a number of publication awards from Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence, Asian Network for Quality, and ICIEA. She also has substantial industrial experiences in manufacturing and service operations. Based on her research work, "Claim Di", a mobile application for facilitating communication and claims between drivers and their insurance companies, was the Thailand’s first successful start-up series A in insurance industry.

Management at Graduate School of Man agement and Innovation (GMI), King Mongkut’s Univer sity of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). PAC is a member of the International Editorial Board of the Asian Journal of Technology Innovation (AJTI) and Associate Editorial Board for African Journal of Science, Technology, Innovation and Development (AJSTID). As futurist, he has involved with various regional scenario buildings and future exercises since the late 1990s. For example, PAC took part in consulting Viet namese authority on Aquaculture Foresight. He facilitates various scenarios and roadmapping projects; e.g. a low carbon society in APEC, nutraceutical and automotive electronics roadmaps, a restructure of Ministry of Science and Technology, a shift in Thai lifestyle, and a future of Thailand 2020, including a management of a regional program on Mega-cities foresight in Asia .He also involves with horizon scanning network of the Rockefeller Foundation.

Burim teaches Strategic Marketing Management and Brand Stragy at College of Management, Mahidol University. He also provides marketing advices to governments and businesses ranging from consumer goods to industrial goods such as SCG, TG, Toyota Motor, Mitrphol, Burapha Univeristy, DBD, Thailand Science Park.

Burim has publications in the marketing and retailing areas. He is also an author of books including Knowledge Management, Viroj Nuankae: the formula of success in the business crisis. He has his own column in magazine, and a marketing commentator at MCOT radio 100.5 MHz

Kittiratana's background is in Architecture & Urban Design. He has introduced Design Thinking and Service Design as a fundamental part in developing creative business and social innovation.

Recently, he leads TCDC to create Government Innovation Lab along with Office of the Public Sector Development Commisdion and UNDP.

Rommaneeya Tingsabadh, Ph.D., is the Manager of Technology Exploration, Corporate Technology Office, SCG, a position she has held since October 2015. In her current role, Rommaneeya is responsible for creating new growth opportunities from emerging technology and for bringing new technology into SCG.

Rommaneeya has worked with SCG for over 9 years. During her career, she has identified new growth areas, built new growth initiatives and technology scouting team, managed investment in technology-driven companies, launched innovation management processes and managed collaboration with partner companies and universities.

Rommaneeya received her PhD from University College London, BA from University of Cambridge and LLM in intellectual property law from Edinburgh University. She started her career as an IP specialist and is a registered Thai patent agent.
